Hi Susan & Daniel,

I am sending you a picture of the nice Baker’s Choice stove. Nick is having a great time with it!. We love the stove and Nick asked me to send this to you. We just had 12 inches of snow and the 3 dogs, 2 cats (and us), enjoyed a nice warm home and cooked food that the stove provided! It (the stove) was a God-send with the cold weather we have had here!

(Editor’s note: You can see the range boiler next to the stove. This provides hot water to their entire house. The cold water line is plumbed into the bottom of the tank. The water then goes into the water coil in the firebox and will continue to circulate until it is hot enough to rise, through convection, into the hot water line located at the top of the tank.) 

  A cold morning at the old homestead but we have the Flame View on ”high” and are quite cozy!

We are dealers for all four of the Amish wood cookstove manufacturers. Of the four only two of the manufacturers have UL listings for their stoves. They are Margin Stoves and Suppertime Stoves.

If you concerned whether or not a stove has a UL listing just check the details page on each stove. If a particular stove has a UL rating it will be listed under “Specifications”.

With that said, the stoves that are not UL listed are not necessarily unsafe stoves, they just have not been tested. The Amish don’t believe in having insurance and some of these manufacturers are not concerned with meeting insurance requirements.
